City Sikhs is an apolitical organisation that aims to work with all political parties to help create positive change within society and develop the next generation of political leadership amongst Sikh, Asian and other faith communities. One of our flagship events includes annual political hustings in London.

The City Sikhs and City Hindus Network were delighted to organise ‘Politics in the City 2018’ an annual panel debate which follows in the footsteps of the successful ‘Hustings in the City’ events featuring senior politicians from the main political parties.

The City Hindus Network is a not-for-profit organisation promoting networking, personal development and charity amongst Hindu professionals in London.

City Sikh is the largest network of Sikh professionals in Britain with members from the second, third and fourth generation British Sikh community.

Hustings in the City 2017 took place at the prestigious Chartered Insurance Institute in London in collaboration with City Hindus Network. This was the largest General Election Hustings in London attended by 150+ professionals.

“Mayoral Hustings in the City” at Deloitte April 2012

“Mayoral Hustings in the City” was co-hosted by Deloitte’s Multicultural and Deloitte’s Hindu Networks; and the City Sikhs Network in anticipation of the forthcoming Mayoral elections. An opportunity to explore the policies of the various candidates and for the audience to ask questions directly to the candidates, one of whom could be in control of the £3.2 billion annual budget of the Greater London Authority in May 2012. Topics of discussion included policing, transport, the London riots, the congestion charge, technology and the Olympics amongst many others. Link to pictures is available here.
